As the CCMA and PACEY Local Early Years Conference is fast approaching Joana took some time out to share what conference means to her and what people can expect when they visit.
What does narrowing the gap mean to you? Narrowing the gap to me means, how we as practitioners can help to identify and support children to meet their development milestones and go beyond them. For example, we may have children that have a speech and language delay and want to know how we can help the child and their family with support, strategies and practice that help them to move on in their learning and development. Children who are maintaining their developmental stages can also be supported to move beyond this and therefore exceed and make great progress. The same applies to children who are high achievers, who if we do not encourage and assist them in their learning, can become bored, disruptive and lose focus. Penny Tassoni & Chris Williams have both seen stunning results with the knowledge and skills that they share with us on this day. Why should people attend the Conference? Benefits to children and families
